अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा साल 2022 तक एक बेहद खास टेलीस्कोप लॉन्च करने की योजना में है. जेम्स वेब स्पेस टेलीस्कोप (JWST) नाम के इस प्रोजेक्ट के बारे में कहा जा रहा है कि ये खासतौर पर स्पेस में दूसरी दुनिया यानी एलियंस की पड़ताल करेगा. बहुत मुमकिन है कि इस अत्याधुनिक टेलीस्कोप से साथ हम एलियंस से संपर्क कर सकें. हालांकि विशेषज्ञ इसे धरती के लिए खतरनाक मान रहे हैं. उनका कहना है कि एलियंस से संपर्क हो पाने का अर्थ उन्हें अपनी तबाही के लिए बुलाना है.

हो रही है नए टेलीस्कोप की बात

कोरोना के दौर में भी अंतरिक्ष की दुनिया चुपचाप नहीं बैठी, बल्कि लगातार प्रयोग हो रहे हैं. इसी कड़ी में जेम्स वेब स्पेस टेलीस्कोप लाया जा सकता है. इसके बारे में माना जा रहा है कि ये अंतरिक्ष की दुनिया का बेमिसाल टेलीस्कोप होगा, जिसके सामने मौजूदा उपकरण कुछ भी नहीं होंगे. ये स्पेस में हमारी पहुंच को लाखों किलोमीटरों तक ले जाएगा. तो सबसे पहले तो समझते हैं कि आखिर किन खूबियों से ये टेलीस्कोप लैस होगा.

नासा के साथ JWST को बनाने में यूरोपियन स्पेस एजेंसी और कनाडियन स्पेस एजेंसी का भी हाथ रहा है. इस इंफ्रारेड टेलीस्कोप का वजन 6 मैट्रिक टन होगा और इसकी धुरी धरती से 1.5 मिलियन किलोमीटर रहेगी. नॉर्थाप ग्रुमन एरोस्पेस सिस्टम्स (Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems) के एस्ट्रोफिजिसिस्ट ब्लैक बुलक ने इस बारे में काफी पड़ताल की. वे इस प्रोजेक्ट का हिस्सा भी रह चुकी हैं. ट्रीहगर वेबसाइट ने उनके हवाले से इस टेलीस्कोप के बारे में कई जानकारियां दीं.

सूरज की रोशनी से बचाने के लिए टेनिस कोर्ट जैसी शील्ड
वे बताती हैं कि स्पेस में ये सबसे अनोखा टेलीस्कोप है, जिसे ठंडा रखने के लिए भी आधुनिकतम तरीके अपनाए गए. दरअसल लंबे समय तक गर्मी लगने पर टेलीस्कोप अपनी क्षमता खो सकता है, जिससे बचाने के लिए उसके चारों ओर सन शील्ड तैयार की गई. ये एक टेनिस कोर्ट जितनी लंबी-चौड़ी है, जो उसके लिए छाते की तरह काम करेगी. बता दें कि टेलीस्कोप को -400 डिग्री फैरनहाइट तापमान पर रखना होगा ताकि वो प्रभावी तरीके से काम कर सके.
मौजूदा टेलीस्कोप्स से सैकड़ों गुना शक्तिशाली
जेम्स वेब स्पेस टेलीस्कोप इस समय सबसे ताकतवर टेलीस्कोप्स से भी 100 गुना ज्यादा शक्तिशाली माना जा रहा है. जैसे नासा के हबल टेलीस्कोप (Hubble Space Telescope) से ही तुलना करें तो हबल जहां धरती के ऑर्बिट के एकदम पास है, वहीं JWST धरती से 1.5 मिलियन किलोमीटर की दूरी पर होगा. इससे फायदा ये है कि ये लाखों -करोड़ों किलोमीटर दूर तक अंतरिक्ष में देख सकेगा.

जेम्स वेब स्पेस टेलीस्कोप काफी ताकतवर माना जा रहा है-

क्या काम करेगा ये
हबल टेलीस्कोप अपनी अधिकतम क्षमता के साथ भी उतनी पुरानी गैलेक्सीज को नहीं देख पाता था, वहीं नए टेलीस्कोप के बारे में उम्मीद है कि वो पुरानी से पुरानी और नई से नई गैलेक्सी की जानकारी हम तक पहुंचा सकेगा. साथ ही ये भी देखा जा सकेगा कि दूसरे तारों में क्या-क्या फीचर हैं, जैसे क्या वहां पानी है, कैसा वातावरण है और किस तरह के केमिकल तत्व वहां हैं. इससे हम ज्यादा से ज्यादा एस्टेरॉइड्स को बेहतर तरीके से जान सकेंगे, जिससे सोलर सिस्टम को समझने में मदद मिलगी.

क्या एलियंस का भी पता लग सकेगा?
JWST के बारे में सबसे बड़ी खूबी जो बताई जा रही है, वो है धरती के आसपास या दूर-दराज में एलियंस की उपस्थिति का पता लगाना. इस बारे में बुलक का मानना है कि इस टेलीस्कोप की यही सबसे बड़ूी खूबी हो सकती है. हालांकि फिलहाल इस बारे में पक्के तौर पर नहीं कहा जा सकता कि टेलीस्कोप इसमें किस हद तक सफल होगा लेकिन जितने आधुनिक फीचर इसमें डाले गए, उससे ये अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है.

वैसे तो ये प्रोजेक्ट इसी साल मार्च में लॉन्च होने जा रहा था लेकिन अब ये टल गया है. हो सकता है कि अगले साल की शुरुआत या फिर इसी साल के अंत में इसकी लॉन्चिंग हो जाए. हालांकि इस बीच कई एस्ट्रोफिजिसिस्ट इसे लेकर चेतावनी भी दे रहे हैं.
क्या डर है जानकारों को
इस शक्तिशाली टेलिस्कोप से कुछ वैज्ञानिकों को डर है कि यह एलियंस को भी हमारी जानकारी दे सकता है, ठीक वैसे ही जैसे हम उनकी जानकारी लेने की कोशिश में हैं. फिलहाल तक ऐसा कोई पक्का प्रमाण नहीं मिला है कि एलियंस अगर हैं तो उन्होंने धरती पर आने की कोशिश की है. लेकिन एक बार जानकारी मिलने के बाद वे भी हमारी धरती पर संपर्क करेंगे. ऐसे में अगर वे ताकतवर हों तो इस आशंका से भी इनकार नहीं किया जा सकता कि वे धरती पर कब्जा करने की सोचेंगे.

धरती पर कब्जे की आशंका जताई जा रही
अमेरिका के थ्योरेटिकल फिजिसिस्ट और लेखक मिचिओ काकू (Michio Kaku) ने ऑब्जर्वर के साथ बातचीत में कहा कि नया टेलिस्कोप लोगों को हजारों ग्रहों को देखने की ताकत तो देगा, लेकिन हमें उनके निवासियों तक पहुंचने के बारे में काफी सावधानी से सोचना चाहिए. जैसे ही टेलीस्कोप धरती की ऑर्बिट में पहुंचेगा, हम हजारों ग्रहों को देख सकेंगे और वे भी हमें देख पाएंगे. ऐसे में इस बात की संभावना है कि हम किसी दूसरे ग्रह की सभ्यता के साथ संपर्क में आ जाएं. ये खतरनाक हो सकता है.

ISRO Offers Free Online Course on Geographical Information System That Can Be Completed in Four Days

ISRO has Invited applications from students and professionals for a free online course on Geographical Information System for Supply Chain Management. The course is being offered as part of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s outreach program through its centre the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS). The course, which will be conducted online due to the pandemic, can be completed in four days.

The course is being organised by the Geoinformatics Department of IIRS, and the content will be delivered by experts in their respective fields. ISRO says that it also plans to offer niche internships to graduates from top B-schools in these areas. The institute is also fully capable of offering short-term in-house training on the respective subjects. The course will be conducted from 26 to 30 April 2021.

What the ISRO Free Online Course on GIS for Supply Chain Management Will Cover
Geographical Information System (GIS) is basically a technology that is capable of capturing, storing, manipulating, visualising and analysing location-based data. Some of the advanced technology that GIS includes are satellite-based imaging, location-based services, spatial sciences and information technology. The technology has a wide range of applications and has already found its way into the mobile phones of consumers as well as e-commerce deliverables.

In the same context, a GIS-based Supply Chain Management (SCM), which is being widely adopted by industries these days, can greatly enhance the effectiveness and profitability of a supply chain. This course aims at giving an introduction on such technologies to participants. The course content will be market-driven and will provide an understanding of how these technologies are being adopted by raw material suppliers, processing units, and distribution centers among others.

Participants are usually provided with certificates for attending free online courses, and the same can be obtained by ensuring 70 percent attendance. IIRS is a training and educational institute set up by ISRO for developing trained professionals in the field of remote sensing, geoinformatics and GNSS technology for natural resources, environmental and disaster management. NASA detects new Asteroid 2021 AF8 moving towards Earth at speed of 9 km per second

NASA estimates that this asteroid ranges in size from 260 to 580 meters. This asteroid was first discovered by scientists in the month of March.

The US Space Agency said that this Asteroid AF8 is much smaller than other large asteroids that have passed by the Earth in space, but it is still very dangerous. The agency said that the 2021 AF8 asteroid is passing near the Earth at a speed of 9 km per second.

The first and largest Asteroid 29075 (1950 DA) in this list which is not going to come till 2880. It is also three times the size of the Empire State Building in the United States and was once believed to have the highest probability of hitting the Earth.

If there are no further lockdowns, the US Fed stays accommodative, money from foreign investors continues to pour into Indian markets, stability in corporate earnings, and with strong economic data in tow – fresh highs are possible amid some consolidation, suggest experts.

“I am positive on the medium to long term outlook of the Indian equity market. This, by no means, implies that the market movement will be unidirectional. In the short term, the volatility is expected to continue,” Pradeep Gupta, Co-Founder & Vice Chairman, Anand Rathi Group told Moneycontrol.

“I would not be surprised if Nifty 50 moves towards 17,500 during the next financial year in the absence of any major new negative development. It is, however, important to point out that by nature, the equity market is volatile and 5-10 percent market corrections are common even during a structural bull run,” he added.

Shrikant Chouhan, EVP, Equity Technical Research at Kotak Securities told Moneycontrol: “In the year, 16,500 and 13,500 should be the range for the market. In case we see the market crossing 16,600 with improved fundamentals or with some big developments, then we may even see the levels of 18,500. However, we are targeting 16,500 for the time being.”

According to him, “cyclicals should do well along with commodities, infra, capital goods, and commercial vehicles. It should be due to sustained rise in the long term bond yields.”

The big factor likely to pull markets forward in FY22 is earnings growth. With the economy showing signs of normalization, all eyes are on India Inc. to deliver a strong performance in the forthcoming quarters.

Market analysts expect a healthy earnings upgrade going forward due to the rebound in economic indicators. The consensus expectations on earnings growth of Nifty 50 suggest compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 20 percent in the next two years.

“We continue to remain positive on equity markets given the estimates of strong growth of over 25 percent CAGR in Nifty earnings for the next two years, easing liquidity conditions and policy measures to support economic revival,” Gaurav Dua, SVP, Head – Capital Market Strategy, Sharekhan by BNP Paribas, told Moneycontrol.

“However, the upside in the benchmark indices could be limited to 12-14 percent in the next fiscal,” he said, hoping to “see scope for better returns in the broader markets.”

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs), net buyers of over Rs 2.67 lakh crore this fiscal, have played an important role in lifting prices in FY21 and experts feel that the trend is likely to continue in FY22 as well.

Anuj Jain, Co-founder & Senior Research head at Green Portfolio told Moneycontrol: “With the ramp-up of vaccination drive, foreign portfolio investment (FPI) and foreign direct investment (FDI) liquidity continuing to flow in, strong conviction on India from global fund houses, positive momentum from domestic retail investors, good earnings momentum showed by companies, and success of production linked incentives (PLI), we expect Nifty to reach 16,000 by the end of FY 22.” All in all, the suggestion of good tidings to come.

Some Android apps started crashing for users yesterday for no apparent reason. These affected apps are not related to each other, which has caused a lot of confusion amongst users.

The underlying reason for Android apps crashing yesterday was a buggy update to the Android System WebView app. Google rolled out an update yesterday, after which unrelated Android apps started crashing for some users.
This caused confusion, and if you are among one of them, then we have a couple of solutions for you until Google rolls out another update to fix the issue

If Android apps are crashing for you, here is what you can do to fix it:
1. Uninstall updates to Android System WebView
This is the easiest solution to fix Android apps crashing issue.

To uninstall updates to Android System WebView, follow these steps:
Open Settings, go to Apps -> Android System WebView.
Now, tap on the three-dot menu on the top right.
Next, tap on the ‘Uninstall updates’ option.
That should solve the issue.
For some users, the three-dot menu might not be visible. In that case, simply tap on the ‘Uninstall’ button and you will then be able to uninstall the latest update.

2. Disable Google Chrome
If you cannot find the Android System WebView app in the Apps section, the other option is to disable Google Chrome.
Once you do that, the Android System WebView app should become visible.

To disable Google Chrome, follow these steps:
Open Settings, go to Apps -> Google Chrome.
Tap the ‘Disable’ button.
That’s it.
If the apps stop crashing now, there is no need to uninstall Android System WebView updates.

Google is working on a fix
While the two steps mentioned above should solve the issue of Android apps crashing on your phone, those solutions are a temporary fix.
